Turning
Point Recovery Residence, Inc., founded
in 1997, is one of the most successful Middle Tennessee
501(c)(3) non-profit alcohol and drug recovery house
organizations consisting of four recovery houses
in Nashville, Tennessee offering
the best possible chance of early recovery to men
and women through the original in-house support
team system that monitors the residents recovery
program.
Although
recovery houses are often called halfway houses
a recovery house provides a safe,
supportive and structured living environment and
is designed more for people that have completed
an inpatient alcohol and drug treatment program
or are attending an outpatient treatment program
or do not have the resources for an alcohol and
drug treatment program. A halfway house
is more like an inpatient treatment program
than a recovery home and there are very few actual
halfway houses in Tennessee. When someone refers
to a halfway house they are probably talking about
a recovery house since there are so few real halfway
houses in Tennessee with many recovery houses, which
are commonly thought to be the same thing.
Turning
Point has one of the highest success
rates in Tennessee because we are one of
the more structured recovery houses that requires
rather than requests that the residents actually
follow the actions of recovery, which are proven
to work.
Because
of our structure and proven track record most of
our referrals
come from the more reputable treatment centers in
the southeast region of the United States (see
our “references” page).
Many other people come to us from all over the country
simply because it is sometimes very difficult to
recover without changing “playgrounds”
and Nashville is one of the countries most livable
cities making it a great place for a new start.
